A modern brick L-shaped bungalow at 54 Hudson street, Bryndwr, was sold for £3700 at public auction. The property was offered on account of Mrs A. S. Dorreen by Mr N. H, McCrostie. The house has a lounge, dining room, two bedrooms, kitchenette, and bathroom. There is also a brick garage on the section of 41.1 perches, which is Christ’s College leasehold land. The rental is £32 10s a year.
Offered on account of the estate of C. E. Cohen, an old house on a section of 21.8 perches, zoned commercial A, at 965 Colombo street, was sold for £3050. The auctioneer was Mr C. Robertson. The initial bid was, £l5OO. There were five bids of £250, two of £lOO, and two of £5O. A square weatherboard house, in need of repair, on a section of 46 perches, at 27 Beckford road, St. Martins, was sold for £1650. The auctioneer was Mr J. Dyer. The house has a living room, two bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom. The opening bid was £lOOO. There were six bids of £lOO, and two of £25. A house at 9 Whittington avenue, Opawa, was passed in at £2lOO. The property was offered on account of Frederick Claude Johnston by Mr L. W. Aitken. The house has two bedrooms, lounge, sunroom, living room, bathroom and laundry. There is also a garage on the section of 33.4 perches. The rates are £24 9s Bd.
