Festival Plan Approved

The festival executives of Adelaide, Perth, Auckland, and Christchurch have already approved the idea of an Australian-New Zealand festival circuit, said Mr H. G. Hay, a member of the Christchurch festival executive, yesterday. Mr Hay was commenting on an article in “The Press” on Saturday by Ronald MeCuaig, of the Australian News and Information Bureau, which said that the resolution had still to be confirmed.

Mr Hay said that the festival secretariat would be in Adelaide. Already negotiations were in hand to arrange attractions for the four festivals in 1968. The Christchurch festival wiK begin on March 9 and continue for three weeks to March 30, he said.
