Talks On N.Z. Steel Company
(Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) LONDON, June 26. The financing of the New Zealand Steel Company was discussed in talks yesterday between the Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr Marshall) and the company’s chairman (Sir Woolf Fisher). Mr Marshall said that the meeting was being held to deal specifically with the question of obtaining overseas loans for financing the company. He had had discus sions on the matter with World Bank officials in Washington. "I can say nothing more at this stage, except that we are considering the next step to be taken,” he said.
