Count Filou Appeals At Hawera

Count Filou would be a better horse for his race on the first day and he appeals for the Fairfield Handicap at the Egmont Racing Club’s meeting tomorrow at Hawera.

Count Filou is preparing for Trentham and a good victory tomorrow would bring him Into favour for the Parliamentary Handicap. The fresh runners, Colonial King and L’Arc, should add interest. Colonial King is approaching his best He has had races in open sprints lately. Now back to a middle distance he might strike form quickly. Feurig ran such good races at the Manawatu meeting that he will appeal for the Mokoia Handicap. He ran third on the first day and was fourth behind Gus, Mukupai and Sir Juvante last week. That form entitles him to a winning chance against this weaker company. Selections:—
