The Wingatui team for the Ashburton Racing Club’s meeting tomorrow has been seriously weakened. Several form runners have been declared unlikely starters. They include Kumai, Castle Gregory, Belloch, Hilarion, Red Harken and Blue Amber. There is nothing wrong with Kumai, which won the steeplechase race at Oamaru on Tuesday, but he may be reserved for a later meeting with a trip to Trentham in view next month.
