NEW STAMP ISSUE

Western Samoa will commemorate the opening of the new World Health Organisation headquarters in Geneva by issuing a special set of stamps. The four denominations 3d, 4d, 6d, and Is—will be on sale at the Chief Post Office in Christchurch on July 4. People seeking “first day of issue” covers of the stamps must submit orders to be in Apia by next Monday. The 3d and 6d denominations of the new stamp depict the new W.H.O. headquarters against the symbol of the organisation.
