BLUEBIRD CRIPPLED
(N.Z.P.A Kouttr—Copyright) LONDON. Donald Campbell drove ids 400 m.pjL record-breaking ear Bluebird for probably the last time on Sunday. He was giving a demonstration run at a motor gala at Debden, Essex, but did not drive at more than 30 m.p.h. At Debden On Wednesday, Bluebird hit a fence at 100 flew 10 feet into the air and crashed into a cornfield. Campbell said the ear was almost a complete write-off. When it crashed it was “all overstressed.*
