High Disdain, which vHi represent the stable of D. Jones in the Winter Handicap. The Mg steeplechase fences on the course proper presented no problem to Koral (Hillis), who schooled with Strickland (Mlritana), a novice sister to Solitude. Koral was soon in charge and jumped brilliantly. He outclassed Ims rival, which eventually crashed at the last fence. On this effort, Koral must be hard to beat in the Hawke’s Bay Centennial Steeplechase. Eiffel Tower (HUMS) schooled over six hurdles with Scot (Treweek) and Golden Dome Miritana) and after recovering from a setback when Ma rider lost an iron at the first hurdle, he was most impressive. He should be hard to beat in the Wbakatu Hurdles. ft
