Only Seconds To Scrap Motor-Car
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON. A £1 million plant is to be put into use in Britain next year to convert old and discarded motor-cars into highgrade scrap metal, at the rate of 400,000 a year. Mr J. A. Wellings, of the firm installing the plant near London, said that the plant will take only seconds to reduca the discarded family saloon car to fist-size pieces of clean steel.
