Appeal Fails

Holding that two police constables who questioned a man in the Hong Kong restaurant Lower Highstreet, on April 12, had been acting tn the execution of the Police Offences Act, Mr Justice Wilson, in a reserved decision, has dismissed an appeal by Patrick Dornan Walsh, aged 40, a clerk, against a conviction for hindering them. Walsh (Mr S. G. Erber) had advanced as a main ground of his appeal the fact that he had been charged with hindering the constables in the execution of the Police Offences Act when they were not so acting.
