Games Appeal On Two Days

The house-to-house appeal for funds to send the Canterbury catagory B Empire Games representatives to Jamaica will be held on June 25 and July 22. A target of £1525 has been set for sending the rifleshooter, D. Wild, the swimmer, Miss T. K. Shipston, and, if selected, the athletes, A. G. Pyne and D. Mackenzie. The allocation for Pyne would be £250—£175 less than the other three —because he is now living in the United States.

An appeal for £5OOO to send the members of the Empire Games Promotion (Canterbury) delegation will be launched on July 8.
