Whittle To Spell

“The Press" Special Service WANGANUI. The Wanganui filly, Whittle, is to be spelled. Her ownertrainer, Mr G. J. Massey, decided this after the three-year-old has been unplaced in heavy conditions in two outings at the Wanganui Jockey Club’s meeting over the week-end.

“She’s fit and well but cannot handle the heavy tracks,” Mr Massey explained. He proposes to turn her out till the spring.
