RECONVEY DEAD
“The Press" Special Service LEVIN.
The good winter galloper. Reconvey, died suddenly in his paddock at Levin on Monday. Reconvey was raced by Mrs L. Tyree, who also races Gus, and was trained by her husband.
Reconvey was the top stakeearning hack in 1957, winning two hack races in a row at Trentham, a feat which Gus reproduced this year. Included in open wins were the White Handicap at Trentham and the Higgle Handicap at Wanganui.
