Burglaries Drop
Only two new burglaries, one an unsuccessful attempt to break into premises, were reported to the Christchurch C. 1.8. yesterday. Thirty-three burglaries were reported to the C. 1.8. in the first three days of this month.
“The break squad, under the direction of DetectiveSergeant J. A. Dawson, has been working round the clock,” said Detecti”e-Super-intendent F. A. Gordon, head of the Christchurch C. 1.8., yesterday.
