Border Of Thailand (N.Z.P. A.-Reuter —Copyright) BANGKOK, June 8. Thailand has requested the United Nations SecretaryGeneral, U Thant, to dispatch a team of observers to the Cambodia-Thailand border and investigate border incidents, a newspaper reported today. The Thai-language “Pirn Thai” daily quoted the Prime Minister, Field Marshal Thanom Kittikachorn, as telling reporters Cambodia had laid landmines on Thai territory and fired across the border at Thai territory. He said U Thant had not yet given his reply.
