Gifts By Bush Visitors

Tn the year ended May 31. £223 10s for the Nelson Cathedral .building fund has been collected from a donations box at Quinney’s Bush, at Motupiko, near Nelson, said th j owner of the area (Mr R. Quinney): The money had been handed over to the diocesan treasurer. he said. Until the end of the year the box would be for contributions to the C.0.R.5.0. “Wells for India” fund. Suitable articles found in the grounds and unclaimed after June 20 would be sent to C.0.R.5.0. “I would like to thank all campers, picnickers, and travellers for the care taken of the property, the appreciative notes in the visitors’ book, and the donations which now total £782 since the area was opened in 1961,” Mr Quinney said.

“There is no thought whatever of commercialising the area,” he said. “It is hoped to add a second roundabout and a third flying-fox to the amusements.”
