Sir,—Nearing 80 years of age and born in New Zealand, 1 would tike to thank three of the so-called peoples of this world for the very peaceful life I have enjoyed in tjiis lovely country (apart from war service overseas). First, I thank the ‘Pommy”; next the Maori, who has always been bur friend; and third, the dear old “Yank” who has saved us twice, to my knowledge.—Yours, etc., H. BURTON. June 8, 1966.
