Chch. Bowlers Dominant

Teams from Christchurch clubs dominated the annual tournament held by the West Coast Indoor Bowls Association in Greymouth over the Queen's Birthday week-end. Winners of the fours championship were Mrs E. Blackler, R. Watkin, W. Blackler, and A. E. Williamson (s> of the Pioneer Club. Williamson is a former New Zealand title-holder and his team defeated Mrs D. Hamilton, Mrs L. Sadler, R. Hamilton and R. Sadler (s) of the Riccarton Workingmen’s Club in the final by 26 points to 10. Mrs Blackler and Watkin were also successful in the pairs championship. They defeated Mrs N. Kearns and A. Sharland (s) in the final by 20 points to 11.
