TEAM COACH APPOINTED

Mr F. Sharply, of Auckland, was last evening appointed coach of the New Zealand athletic team to compete in the Empire Games at Jamaica in August The appointment was mad£ at a meeting of the Amateur Athletic Association’s management committee. The two unsuccessful nominees were Messrs V. Breidls (Canterbury) and R. A. Spence (Wellington).
