May Compete In Mexico

(N.Z. Pre«» Association) WELLINGTON. New Zealand athlete# may compete in Mexico after the Jamaica Empire Games in August. At last evening’s meeting of the Amateur Athletic Association’s management committee, a letter was received from Mr A. L. Lydiard, now coaching in Mexico, stating that an invitation could be arranged for all the athletic section.

Provided the Olympic and British Empire Games Association agrees and an official invitation is forthcoming from the Mexican athletic authorities, the invitation could be accepted if all members of the athletic party are available. Group concession restrictions make it necessary for parties to leave and arrive together.
