Basketball Team Chosen
(N Z Press Association! NELSON. The New Zealand women’s indoor basketball squad to prepare for three tests against the touring Korean team next month was selected after trials at Petone during the week-end.
The 13 players announced y esterday by the president of the New' Zealand association, Mrs Z B. Gay, of Nelson, are: J. Pellew, S. McPhee, K. Wong (Wairarapa), J. Taylor, P. Miller. B. Ross (Canterbury), M. Ward, P. Heath (Wellington,, D. Morrice (Nelson), J Wratt (Marlborough), R Doyle (Hamilton), A. Solomon (Otago), B. Baxter (Wanganui).
The selectors were Mrs 1. Brough (Nelson), Mr B. Marsh (Rotorua), and Mr L. McLoughlan (Hutt Valley). The squad will have one week’s training in Hamilton early next month in preparation for the tests at Tauranga on July 16, Wanganui on July--18, and Christchurch on July 30.
