The touring A.S. Roma soccer team was lucky to preserve its 100 per cent record when it beat New South Wales 2-1 before a crowd of 35.000 at Sydney on Sunday. The Italians showed flashes of brilliant teamwork, but the purposeful New South Wales forwards had just as much of the ball and would have earned a draw had they taken any one of three easy chances in the second half.
