TASHKENT QUAKES
Thousands Homeless (.V Z P A Reuter—Copyright) MOSCOW, May 11. Thousands of people have been made homeless and hundreds of houses destroyed or damaged by a new series of earth tremors which hit the central Asian city of Tashkent yesterday, it was reported in Moscow today. The earthquake came exactly two weeks after a force seven tremor rumbled across Tashkent and left some 4000 families homeless. Moscow Radio said the latest tremors began early yesterday, blacking out several districts of Tashkent. No casualty figures were available, but several people have been confined in hospital for treatment, the Soviet news agency, Tass, reported.
Missiles Missed.—MiG fighters today attacked United States fighter planes with missiles for the first time in the Vietnam war but missed their target, said a United States military spokesman.— Saigon, May 11.
