Waiters’ Race At Lyttelton

About 20 of the crew of the Rangitane will each carry a tin tray with two full glasses of coloured liquid and an empty bottle in a waiters’ race around the streets of Lyttelton this afternoon. Contestants will begin at the corner of Oxford street and Norwich quay, and will race along Oxford, London, and Canterbury streets before returning to the starting point. The winner will be the man with the most liquid left.
