Man’s Body Found

INVERCARGILL, Mar. 9. The body of John Alexander Fowler, who was drowmed in Lake Manapouri on Monday after a road cave-in, was recovered today. Mr Fowler, aged 36, of Manapouri, and formerly of Gore, was swept into the lake at Supply Bay when a 49ft section of road round the shore caved in. His body was found at 10.45 this morning by a skin-diver, Mr J. S. McGee. An inquest for identification purposes was opened in Te Anau and adjourned sine die.
