Wellington’s Fifth Title
(N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL. _ In a game with all the thrills of a big league final, Wellington beat Hutt Valley, 4-3, in the final of the national colts’ softball championships at Invercargill yesterday. It was the fifth time Wellington has won the championship since its inception six years ago. Third round results were Otago 9, Canterbury 3; Hutt Valley 1, Southland 0; Wellington 13, Canterbury 3: Southland 8, Otago 5; Wellington 11, Hutt Valley 2; Wellington 7, Southland 1; Wellington 4, Hutt Valley 3.
