LAUNCH ADRIFT
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 8. The Napier launch Galalass was tonight drifting with a broken crankshaft two miles east of Portland Island in a moderate to heavy swell. The Napier gamefishing launch Corsair has gone to take it in tow and expects to rendezvous with the Galalass at midnight. No fears are felt for the five persons on board. The Galalass sent out a mayday call at 7.13 p.m.
