Whale Skeleton

BLENHEIM, March 8. The Dominion Museum is interested in getting the skeleton of a pigmy Right whale which is washed up on a Port Underwood beach. There are no complete skeletons in New Zealand and very few elsewhere. Because of this the loca-

tion of the carcase of the whale, ig not being made public. Curiosity or vandalism is feared, and souveniring could reduce the value of the skeleton to the museum. A representative from the museum will visit the beach in a few weeks to review the “skeletonising” process.
