Raided Scout Camp (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 7. Three of four youths who raided a scout camp at Osborne Park, Birkenhead, on a Sunday morning, pulled tents down and threw stones at the scouts said they did so “just for fun,” Sergeant B. Huggard told the Magistrate’s Court today. Before Mr C. E. H. Pledger, S.M., were Trevor Ivan Grace, aged 18, a warehouseman, Lawrence Pascoe, aged 17, an apprentice boilermaker, Steven John Hilton, aged 18, a storeman, and lan Murray Hale, aged 18, an unemployed seaman. They appeared on charges of behaving in a disorderly manner. Grace, Hilton and Pascoe were collectively ordered to pay £lO toward the cost of prosecution. Their cases were adjourned for a month with a view to discharge. Hale was convicted and fined £lO.
