Sir, —I do think our Government should be very alert for Ashling poachers. Quite 20 years ago, I wrote a letter to your newspaper stating that Japanese pearlers got the aborigines to light bonfires to warn them when the police were on the watch for pearl thieves.—Yours, etc., E.M.R. March 4, 1966.
