Quins Named

(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) EAST LONDON, March 4. South Africa’s six-day-old quins were named yesterday— Happy, Tursted, Devoted, Peace and Love. These are the translations of the tribal names given to the three boys and two girls born last Saturday to Mrs Nogesi Mtukutese, wife of an illiterate coal hand from Thetranskei. By Xhosa tribal custom, the babies were named by the maternal grandfather, who lives in the remote Transkei village of Kentani. The quins—South Africa's first surviving set—were doing well in hospital today.
