Stop-Game Warning At Soccer Match
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) LONDON. The referee threatened to abandon a leading English soccer match on Saturday because supporters of one team hurled "missiles” at the opposition goal-keeper. United Press International reported. The incident occurred after 30 minutes of the division one game between Liverpool and Blackburn Rovers at Blackburn. The Liverpool goal-keeper, T. Lawrence, was the target of the crowd, but the bar- sed after the referee’s warning. Liverpool won the match, 4-1, to increase its lead in tne division to six points.
