Honours To Western

Western took the honour! In Saturday’s women’s cricket competition matches. After declaring at 152 for one in the first innings, Western failed narrowly to make the 57 required in 15 minutes to beat Technical. J. Dickinson had an outstanding match for Western, taking six for 30 and making 20 not out in the hectic run-chase. J. Olson and J. Witte also made half-centuries for Western in the first innings. Results:— Western 152/1 declared (J. Olson 67, J. Witte 58 not out) and 52/3 (J. Dickinson 29 not out) beat Technical 126 and 82 (W. Hattersley 41 hot out; Dickinson 6/30) on the first innings. St. Albans II 147 and 77/3 (K. Pyatt 30; A. Giles 3/30) beat Mai Moa 116 and 107 (Giles 40. N. White 21: Pyatt 4/30) by seven wickets. St. Albans I the bye. |
