EXTENDING STAND
Work will start on extensions to the members’ stand at Riccarton immediately after the C.J.C. summer meeting to be held tomorrow and Tuesday. A contract has been let for the extension of the ground and mezzanine floors of the stand to provide additional space of 180 feet by 18 feet on each floor. The substantial increase in space and a new stairway are expected to largely overcome problems members have experienced in the new stand. With the extra space available, consideration will be given to a re-arrangement and improvement of the mixed bar and coffee lounge areas.
