HURT, BUT MAY RUN

(N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyriflht)

SYDNEY. The connexions of the Western Australian pacer, Velocipede, hope the horse will be able to contest the second and third series of the Inter-Dom-inion Championships at Harold Park next week. They indicated this yesterday when they scratched Velocipede from only the opening series tomorrow night.

Inter-Dominion conditions set out that to be eligible to contest the Grand Final horses must start in every qualifying division, but this rule is relaxed if a veterinary certificate is produced to the committee. Velocipede, which has won three of his last four races in Perth, injured his hip while rolling in his box.
