BAN ON DOGS

Springston South Domain No dogs will be allowed on the South Springston domain. The Domain Board, at a meeting in Christchurch yesterday, decided that as so much trouble had been caused by dogs, a total ban was the only practicable solution. The board will investigate the possibility of giving the domain fire tender to the Lincoln Fire Board. As there are no permanent residents who could take over fire arrangements, and as the Lincoln fire station is only 10 minutes away, the board considered that the tender was serving no useful purpose where it was.
