Mr Kirk’s Plans

The Leader of the Opposition (Mr Kirk) has no plans at present to move from his Christchurch home to Wellington. He said last evening that lit was possible for him to live. !ir. his electorate and still (travel to Wellington on the business days of the week I His position demanded a lot of work outside Wellington, and it was as easy to travel from Christchurch to Auckland at a week-end as it was to go from Wellington to Auckland. “We’ll have to wait and see how it works out,” he said. [ Mr Kirk recalled that when the late Sir Sidney Holland was the Leader of the Opposition he spent much of his time in Christchurch.
