Won N.Z. Open Gliding Title

(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN. P. Heginbotham, of Wellington has won the 1966 New Zealand open gliding championship. He received an aggregate of 2942 points in the championships held at Omarama last week.

G. Hookings, of Auckland and G. Westenra, of Dunsandel were equal second with 2552 points. Hookings was last year’s Auckland provincial champion and Westenra was a member of the New Zealand team which competed in England. K. Wakeman (Kaiapoi) was fourth with 2249 points and E. Carr (Christchurch) was fifth with 2100 points.
