Rower Still Winning

(N.Z. Press Association) NAPIER. The consistent winner of the Hawke’s Bay single sculls and contender for the national championship, T. Bone, again won the Hawke’s Bay single sculls when he raced against the Wellington oarsman A. Garrett at the Hawke's Bay Rowing Club’s annual regatta on the Ngaruroro river at Clive on Saturday. Bone was two lengths and a half ahead of Garrett at the finishing line. Next Saturday Bone will compete at Rotorua against other rowers from the north of the North Island, including probably M. Watkinson, the New Zealand champion, in the senior singles.
