Life-Saving Line Damaged

(N.Z. Press Association) TAURANGA, Jan. 14. Vandals at Mount Maunganui have interfered with surf life-saving club box lines on the ocean beach in the last four mornings. By winding the line handles backwards, they tangled the line and harness.

Mr C. Campbell, who checks the lines along the beach each evening and morning, today found one line wound back so tightly it had been half severed. It will have to be replaced at a cost of £l3.

Terry, proved too steady for next six games.
