Scott Not To Run
The Olympic representative, N. I. Scott (Auckland), has withdrawn from the athletics meeting at Lancaster Park on Saturday. He was to have run in the 5000 metres race, against the Russians. L. Ivanov and V. Kudinsky, hut an illness in his family has forced him to miss the race.
The New Zealand crosscountry representative, P. Welsh (Otago), is also unlikely to compete, and another late withdrawal is the Auckland all-rounder, D. Norris.
