CHANGE OF PLAN
Horses Leaving From Auckland (N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH. The plan to ship 12 pacers and trotters to Los Angeles through New Plymouth on Monday has been abandoned. Instead, the horses will leave on Saturday from Auckland aboard the 5929-ton Cap Blanco. Her visit to New Plymouth has been cancelled because no berth would have been available until late next week. “This does not disturb our plans very much,” said C. S. Hunter, the trainer of three of the horses, in a telephone interview from Trentham yesterday. “In fact, it saves us the additional cost of transporting the horses to New Plymouth.” Hunter said that Jay Ar, Garcon d’Or, Uno Command. Highland Countess, Lowry Bay, Danny's Pal, Waiuku, and Highland Don were already in Auckland. Bonnieburn and Cairnbrae arrived at Wellington yesterday from the South Island. They will be transported to Auckland today. The other horses to be shipped are Y’akety-Yak and Vai Averil.
