REVIVED BY NEIGHBOUR
Child Seemed Drowned (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Jan. 12. A three-year-old boy who had appeared to have drowned in a bath tub in his home at Te Atatu was revived by a neighbour who used mouth-to-mouth resuscitation today. The child. Maori Keepa. son of Mr and Mrs M. Keepa. of 7 Gill road. Te Atatu, was in the Auckland Hospital in a satisfactory condition tonight. Mrs M. Young, who was having a cup of tea next door when the drowning occurred, ran into the Keepa house to find the child black and no longer breathing. “I have only seen mouth-to-mouth resuscitation demonstrated once.” she said. “I tried it anyway and it worked.” When a doctor arrived the child was breathing again.
