N.Z. PRIVATE WOUNDED
Action Against Viet Cong (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) CANBERRA, Jan. 11. A New Zealander serving with the Ist Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment in Vietnam, has been wounded, it was announced in Canberra today. He is Private W. J. Jackson, of Otahuhu. No further details were immediately available. Army headquarters also announced that another Australian had been killed and another wounded. All three were taking part in the current operation against the Viet Cong.
So far four Australians have been killed and 19 wounded in Vietnam.
