Pig Among Traffic

A pig which came from market caused a lot of fuss at the Harper avenueFendalton road intersection about 4.30 p.m. yesterday. A Large White sow, it fell from a stock truck, and showed a marked reluctance for recapture. It took the combined efforts of several men—including a traffic officer on point duty at the intersection—to secure it, and, wrapping a sack round it, lift it back into the truck. Its squeals seemed loud enough to be heard all over Fendalton. “Just as well it wasn’t a greasy pig,” said one of the onlookers.
