Heffernan, winner of five Australian and one world title, showed his true form on the Brisbane river yesterday and piloted his 18-footer, Apex, to a two-minute victory in the third heat of the world’s championship. Miss I.G.A. (D. Kean, of New Zealand) came frouth. Progress points of leaders are: Travelodge (R. Holmes, New South Wales), 241; Miss 1.G.A., 233; Apex, 183. The fourth heat will be sailed tomorrow and the fifth and final heat on Saturday.
