Stolle Wins Manly Title

The Davis Cup player Fred Stolle on Sunday won his first tournament in Australia this season when he carried off the Manly seaside tennis singles title with a three-set win over Bill Bowrey, 7-5, 4-6, 6-2. Jan Lehane showed her tremendous fighting qualities with a win over Madonna Schaeht in the women’s final. Down 1-6 and 14, Miss Lehane made a great recovery to win, 1-6, 64, 6-3.
