SOVIET AIR CRASH
Four Generals Killed (N.Z.P.A .-Reuter—Copyright) MOSCOW, May 18 Four Soviet generals and a colonel have been killed in an air crash, the Soviet newsagency, Tass. reported today. Tass said the five men died in an “aviation catastrophe” in the course of their “active duties.”
The Ministry of Defence named them as Army General Kolpakchi. ColonelGeneral Perevertkin. Lieu-tenant-General of Artillery Goffe, Major-General Morozov, and Colonel Khikhlovsky. Marshal Mitrofan Nedelin, chief of Soviet rocket troops, died in another crash last October.
