Woman Guilty Of Assault
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. May 16. An 18-year-old typist, Gael Patricia Pemberton, was found guilty of assaulting an 81-year-old grocer, Herbert Austin O’Hara, with intent to rob by an Auckland Supreme Court jury this afternoon. The jury, which included a woman, added a strong recommendation to leniency. She was remanded in custody for sentence by Mr Justice T. A. Gresson. Leslie Ellis Ratana, aged 19. a workman, who Was jointly charged with Pemberton, pleaded guilty to the charge of assault with intent to rob and was remanded in custody for sentence.
