PLUNKET SOCIETY FOUNDER’S DAY
Function Held In Christchurch
Members of the Piunket Society were asked to rededicate themselves to the work of Sir Truby King at a Founder's Day function held in the National Party rooms. The speaker was Mrs Janet Williams, one of the original members of the society, whe once worked with Sir Truby King. The president of the Christchurch branch (Mrs A. Rose) welcomed the Mayoress (Mrs G. Manning), who Flowers and Wreaths by Wire anywhere. Bunts, th* Telegraph Florist, State Theatre Building. —Advt
was guest of honour at the function. Slides of a recent overseas tour were shown by the secretary (Miss Lilias Seott), who was the New Zealand delegate at a world convention of Soroptomist Clubs, held recently in London.
